Adult Group Guitar Class

Have you always wanted to learn how to play the guitar? Come learn how to make some beautiful noise at Music Masters’ adult guitar classes!  

In this class, we will explore the fundamentals of the guitar in a relaxed group setting intended for beginners. Students will learn about the different parts of the guitar, how to tune the instrument, strumming and picking technique, and of course—how to play chords and learn their favorite songs! It doesn’t take long to learn a few chords and begin strumming classic tunes; in fact, most songs are made up of only 3 or 4 chords.  

As a group, students will learn how to read chord diagrams, tablature, and the skills needed to play and learn songs from lead sheets. Through the guitar, students will be introduced to general music fundamentals, including rhythm reading and learning notes on the instrument.

The class will play chords and melodies together and experience the delight of making music with others.  

There is an optional performance for individuals or smaller groups during the final class 
meeting (come show off those skills you’ve learned!) but there is absolutely no pressure to do so.

Come learn how to play the guitar in a comfortable setting with your peers! Let’s start building those finger calluses!  

Class Duration: Each class is 1 hour long. There are four weeks of classes.

The class will run on Tuesdays 4/2, 4/9, 4/16 and 4/23 in April 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm.
