How’d you end up at Music Masters?
I ended up here because my wife told me it opened up. I saw a past student, Sean Mudd, playing in the parking lot and figured it’d be a good place for me to teach. Came in, checked the place out during it’s opening, and handed my resume to a smiling Torrin and told him, “I’m going to make you happy, we’re going to build a dynasty here.”
What sparked your passion for music?
I’m a musician because I used to fidget. My parents caught on and figured it’d be a good fit for me to play the drums. Thus started my music past.
How’d your music go from there?
I met a piano, saxophone, and guitar player and started a band called the Pedestrians. We were pretty bad.
Who would you most wanna jam with?
Rush. For sure. Rush or the Beatles. Two favorites there.
What do you express through your music?
Rhythmic control. Not really a jam band guy. Rhythmic control inspires me, it’s expressed through my music. I play with the emotion and expression that serves the music.
Your message to aspiring artists?
Play as much as you can.
