Our teaching philosophy is one that is hard to find anywhere else. It follows from a few assumptions:

First, that every person comes to a lesson with a unique life perspective and learning style.

Second, that all people are musical in one way or another. It’s a part of being human.

Lastly, that there is no one-track method to teaching or learning.

What does that mean for our teachers and students? It means that we teach according to how your child (or you!) learns. We put musical enjoyment before musical perfection. Music should be accessible to everyone in all walks of life. We strive to cultivate a student's independence in their musicality, instrument technique, listening skills, and musical taste.

Let's make music!

Piano Lessons

Piano is the perfect foundational instrument. It provides a clear visual layout of musical notes that helps students understand music theory easier than on other instruments.

Skills learned with piano transfer well to learning other instruments.

Guitar Lessons

Guitar lessons are great for anything from unleashing your inner rockstar on an electric guitar to learning to play Bach on a classical guitar!

You can unlock thousands of songs by learning just a few chords or spend thousands of hours perfecting complicated solos.

Voice Lessons

Voice lessons develop the most personal instrument of all, the human voice!

Voice lessons build confidence and teach healthy technique that protects your vocal cords and allows you to sing for a lifetime.

Drum Lessons

Drum lessons give students the power to drive the music, building rock-solid rhythm that other instruments rely on.

Drums engage the whole body, developing discipline and confidence through physically active learning.

Drummers become natural leaders in ensembles, learning how to listen, support others, and keep music moving forward.

Ukulele Lessons

Ukulele is one of the most joyful instruments. It arguably has the greatest joy per string ratio of all instruments.

Their smaller size makes them a great gateway instrument to guitar for younger students while also providing great scalability for advanced techniques and playing. They're also super portable, easy to take camping!

Bass Guitar Lessons

Bass isn't just played, it's felt. Every band needs a bassist, and great bass players are always in demand.

You can change the feel of a song with even the simplest of bass lines, or wow everyone with the most complex rhythms like Les Claypool.

Brass Instrument Lessons

Get lessons on Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, and French Horn

From classical orchestras and jazz combos to funk bands, film scores, and pep bands, brass instruments are ubiquitous. Brass lessons open doors to diverse ensembles and performance opportunities.

Brass lessons develop lung capacity and posture that help you play with the clarity and power needed to stand out.

Woodwind Instrument Lessons

Get lessons on Clarinet, Saxophones, Flute, and Oboe

Woodwind lessons will help you hone your technique learning proper embochure, finger positioning, breath control, and articulation. Your instructor will help you improve your tone, read music, and learn music theory.

Harmonica Lessons

Perhaps the most portable instrument, you can take it with you in your pocket!

We teach both diatonic and chromatic harmonica so you can learn to play like a Blues legend!

Violin and Cello Lessons

String lessons teach patience, perseverance, and creativity. Skills that benefit students academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether your goal is to play professionally or simply enjoy music for life, learning a string instrument opens the door to endless possibilities.

Music Theory Lessons

Music theory lessons unlock a deeper understanding of how music works, helping students learn faster, play more confidently, and think more creatively.

It’s a lifelong foundation that transforms students from note-players into true musicians.

Music theory students can expect to learn about reading music, rhythm and meter, scales and key signatures, intervals, chords, and chord progressions. Lessons are custom-tailored to each individual student, so you can learn about anything you are interested in!

Exploratory Music Lessons

Not sure which instrument to learn yet?

With exploratory music lessons, students will try out many different instruments each lesson such as piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, voice, trumpet, recorder, and others!

Exploratory music lessons are a great way for younger students to get started without committing to a specific instrument. Once the student gravitates toward a specific instrument, they can switch to lessons just on that instrument, or stick with exploratory lessons learning any instrument they wish.

Audio Engineering Lessons

Learn to work with DAWs like Logic to produce beats, record and mix multi-tracks, and improve keyboard skills.

Lessons are custom-tailored to each individual student, so if you have specific needs, please contact us!
