We use Zoom for our online music lessons. We offer online music lessons on piano, guitar, drums, violin, voice, bass, viola, trumpet, alto and tenor saxophones, clarinet, trombone, and more! Check out our Teacher Roster to see which teachers based in Eugene, Oregon are available. We can also use another video chat service like Skype or FaceTime if Zoom does not work for you.

Zoom is available on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops!
For phones and tablets: Download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app in the App Store or Google Play Store.
For laptops and desktops: Visit Zoom at their website Zoom.us. Download the Zoom Client for Meetings under the Resources drop-down menu on the homepage of their website. Click Download Zoom Client and you will be redirected to their downloads page. The first option is Zoom Client for Meetings. Download and install the program.
Sign up for a Zoom account using the name of the student who will be taking lessons. Zoom will send an activation link to the email used to create the account. Once you press the activation link you will be able to log into your Zoom account.
Add your teacher as a contact in Zoom. Once you have signed in and have the Zoom application open there will be four categories: Home, Chats, Meetings, and Contacts (or some similar variation depending on your device). Go to the Contacts section and add your teacher as a contact by pressing the + button and selecting Add a Contact. Enter your teacher's full username and hit enter. Pressing Add will send a contact request to your teacher which once accepted will allow them to start a video chat with you when your lesson time starts. Their usernames are below:
If you have any issue adding your instructor on Zoom (or for any other reason) - email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the email you are using for your Zoom account and we will add you. Once we have added you, you will receive a contact request in the Chats section of your Zoom app. Accept the contact request and then we will be able to start video lessons with you.
Please keep in mind these emails are used for each teacher's Zoom account only and they are not responsible for checking or answering emails directed to them.
If you are having difficulty getting Zoom setup. We can also send you a Meeting ID that allows you to have a video lesson without setting up a Zoom account on any device or installing their software if you are on a laptop or desktop.
